The School of Excellence in Education School District challenges young people to strive in every aspect of their lives: academically, socially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Goal

The primary goal of the School of Excellence in Education is to create a public school district with an expectation of a continuous high level of achievement for underserved students. It is expected that students will graduate from either the Milton B. Lee Academy of Science & Engineering or the Academies at Hawkins High School with 12 college credits and the ability to transfer classroom knowledge into real world situations. In addition, students will be encouraged to obtain a postsecondary education.

The School of Excellence in Education serves students on seven campuses which include a pre-k academy, two elementary campuses, two intermediate campuses, a junior high campus, and two high schools. The administration, faculty and staff follow and promote the district’s core values.
