Policies and Handbooks
The following rules represent critical components of a safe learning environment that fosters excellence in behavior and academics.  We have high standards and we know that your child will reach excellence with us should you decide to enroll him or her after agreeing to abide by the standards. It is our intent to prepare our students to be tomorrow’s leaders with high values and character. We expect them to successfully compete in the corporate world, military, or as business owners.

Our Expectations for Parents:
  1. Pick up your child within 60 minutes and escort all day the next school day if you choose “NO” for corporal punishment.
  2. Pick up your child within 60 minutes and meet with an administrator the following school day if your child has a dress code violation.
  3. Make arrangements for tutoring if S.E.E. determines it is necessary.   Any student failing any part of TAKS will attend tutoring beginning in August of the new school year.
  4. Make arrangements for your child to attend summer school if your child did not pass TAKS in 3rd, 5th, and 8th grades or failed math or science TAKS in any grade level. If your child is recommended for summer school and fails to attend, he/she may not be allowed to return to S.E.E. the upcoming school year.
  5. Make arrangements to reimburse the School of Excellence for any misplaced books and/or materials. All assigned books, class materials, sports equipment, etc. are the responsibility of the student and the parents.
  6. Students with grades below “80” on assignments and/or tests, must repeat the work until their grade is an “80” or above. If students fail to complete the coursework during the week, they must attend mandatory Saturday School. Students with grades above an “80” may repeat assignments for a higher grade, but are not subject to Saturday School.
  7. All high school students must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service each school year.
  8. If your child is enrolled in the Milton B. Lee Academy, parents must pick up report cards in person.
  9. Milton B. Lee students will be issued laptops; therefore, parents will be responsible for replacing laptops if they are lost or stolen.
NOTE: Failure to adhere to parent expectations may result in withdrawal of your child.
